Beyond Net Zero – ERG Hackathon 2021

Self-sustainable energy communities and rural development: the project by Irene Fontana and Lorenzo Gini was considered the best of the first edition of Hackathon Beyond Net Zero, launched by ERG, in collaboration with Talent Garden Genova and Master SAFE in Energy Resource Management, to identify the business model of ERG to 2050.

21st July 2021: Luca Mantelli taking part at ASME Power 2021 Conference

Luca Mantelli taking part at ASME Power 2021 conference on 21/7/2021 during the panel session “Digital twin environments for energy system design and performance monitoring with the support of AI methodologies”. His presentation entitled “Cyber-Physical Applications for Emulation of Energy Systems” deals with the emulation of fuel cell hybrid systems, emulation of combined cycles (Pump-Heat EU project), and the training of steam generators operators in a virtual reality environment (PITSTOP project). The other presentation authors were Prof. Massardo, Prof. Traverso, Prof. Ferrari and Dr. Pascenti.

H2BOAT

The company provides energy high-tech solutions. As first project related to the nautical sector, H2Boat provides an innovative system that uses hydrogen technology to make the leisure boats, in particular sailing boats, completely autonomous from the energy consumption point of view. The system is designed according to concepts of sustainability and eco-comfort, respecting the environment but still retaining all the benefits due to the high amount of available energy.

SIT technologies Srl has a twofold objective: to apply academic expertise for increasing efficiency and flexibility of large energy plants, such as combined cycles, including hybridisation,
and to develop energy harvesting technologies in specific environments, such as direct and reverse energy cycles.
